How we approach every job
Each watch that comes to Chronvale is treated as its own case. We start with a bench assessment — not a assumptions-based quote — and proceed only once we know what is actually going on inside the case. The service path we recommend follows from that review.
For older or collectible pieces, we take more time at the front end: documenting condition, discussing the plan, and agreeing a scope before any tools touch the movement. For everyday-wear pieces coming in for routine service, the process is more straightforward, but the same standards for lubricants, timing verification, and documentation apply.
Intake and initial bench review
Watch is received and a condition overview is completed at the bench. Notes on function, cosmetic state, and any observable issues are recorded.
Service path discussion
We contact you with findings and a recommended path. For restoration work, a written plan is agreed before proceeding.
Bench work
Service is carried out using calibre-appropriate tools and lubricants. Parts decisions are communicated before ordering.
Verification and return
Timing is checked post-service on mechanical pieces. Watch is returned with a plain-language written record of all work completed.

First-Visit Assessment

A welcoming bench review for owners who are new to watch care, or who simply want an informed picture of where their piece stands. We examine basic function, fit, and condition, then produce a clear written summary you can take away and keep. Simple guidance on day-to-day handling and storage is included. There is no obligation to book further work.

Best for: first-time owners, inherited pieces, watches acquired without paperwork, or anyone who wants an independent condition opinion.

Service 02
Everyday Wear Service

A full service for daily-wear mechanical and quartz watches. The movement is disassembled, cleaned, re-lubricated with calibre-appropriate oils, and reassembled. Regulation brings the rate into a consistent range. Gaskets are refreshed to maintain water resistance where applicable. Timing is verified post-service and the results are included in your written work record.

Typical turnaround: 2–3 weeks
Best for: mechanical or quartz watches worn regularly that have not been serviced in three or more years, or watches showing changes in rate or accuracy.

Service 03
Collector's Restoration Project

Considered restoration for older and collectible pieces, conducted with a careful, documented approach from the first bench look through to return. Condition photography is taken on arrival. A written plan covering the scope of work, parts approach, and timeline is agreed before anything begins. Original parts are preserved wherever reasonable, and any replacements are discussed with you. The final accuracy check is extended to confirm the movement is stable before the watch is returned.

Standards
Consistent protocols across all services
Calibre-specific lubricants
Movement-appropriate lubricants throughout. We do not use generic alternatives that can shorten service intervals.
Timing machine verification
All mechanical watches are tested on the timing machine post-service. Rate and amplitude results are recorded and shared.
Written records retained
Job records are kept on file. If a watch returns in future years, we have a reference point for comparison and history.
Secure watch custody
Every piece is individually labelled at intake and held in a locked, supervised workspace throughout the service period.
Water resistance check
Where gaskets are replaced, a basic water resistance check is performed and the rating is noted in the service record.
Prior contact on any changes
If something unexpected comes to light during the work, we stop and contact you. No unilateral decisions on your watch.

Published prices, no variations
All prices are in Thai Baht and are fixed per service tier. Parts replacement, if required, is discussed and quoted separately before ordering.
