Why Chronvale
The difference
is in the detail.
What makes Chronvale worth choosing is not any single feature. It is the combination of transparency, patience, and consistent standards applied to every job that comes through the door.

Six reasons owners return to Chronvale
Written job records
Every service comes back with a plain-language summary of exactly what was done and why.
Agreed scope before start
No work proceeds until you have confirmed the plan. You are not presented with a decision after the fact.
Published, fixed pricing
Service prices are stated upfront. What you see is what you pay — no surcharges added after inspection.
Thorough bench assessment
Each watch is reviewed on the bench before a service path is recommended. We do not quote blind.
Condition photography
Restoration and collector pieces are photographed on arrival. Visual documentation before and after the work.
Local practice in Khon Kaen
No need to send your watch to Bangkok. Same standard of work, without the travel and wait times.
Professional expertise on the bench
Chronvale's lead watchmaker, Nattawut Srisuk, has over twelve years of experience working on mechanical movements across a range of calibres. Before founding Chronvale, he worked in a professional workshop environment in Bangkok, handling a consistent volume of service and restoration work. That experience is reflected in the diagnostic approach we apply to every piece.
- Twelve-plus years on mechanical calibres
- Experience across Swiss and Japanese movements
- Careful diagnostic review before any recommendation
Tools and methods appropriate to the work
We use a timing machine on all mechanical watches post-service to verify rate and amplitude. Lubricants are calibre-specific rather than generic, sourced from established specialist suppliers. Ultrasonic cleaning is available for applicable components. The tools are chosen for their effectiveness in the specific task, not for their cost.
- Timing machine verification on all mechanical work
- Calibre-specific lubricants throughout
- Ultrasonic component cleaning where suitable
Customer communication that is actually useful
We explain what we find in plain terms. If the watch needs work, we say what and why. If it does not need work yet, we say that too. The written summary given with each completed job is written in language a non-specialist can read and keep for reference. We contact you before taking any action that was not discussed at intake.
- Plain-language written summary with every job
- Contact before any unplanned action
- Honest assessment — including when work is not needed
Pricing that is stated before the work begins
All three services are priced and described on our solutions page. There are no assessment fees hidden behind a consultation, and no labour rates that multiply unpredictably. If parts are required beyond the standard service scope, the cost is discussed and confirmed with you before ordering. The final figure will not be a surprise.
- Published prices for all three services
- Parts costs confirmed before ordering
- No hidden charges at collection
Outcomes you can refer back to
The written record given with each job serves a practical purpose beyond the current visit. It tells you what condition the watch was in, what was done, and when. If you bring the watch back in two or three years, that record gives us and you a basis for comparison. For collectors with multiple pieces, it becomes part of a useful maintenance history.

What Sets Us Apart
Features not commonly found elsewhere
Plain-terms glossary on request
When your service record refers to a movement term you are unfamiliar with — escapement, amplitude, pallet fork — we will explain it in plain language before you leave. No assumptions that you already know the vocabulary.
Condition photography for restoration work
Collector pieces arriving for restoration are photographed on the bench before any cleaning or disassembly begins. That record is yours to keep alongside the completed service documentation.
First-visit assessment with no obligation
The First-Visit Assessment is designed for owners who are not sure what their watch needs. It ends with a written summary and practical guidance — with no requirement to book further work.
Conservative parts handling as default
Original parts are preserved wherever practical. This matters especially for older pieces where period-correct components carry value that generic replacements cannot replicate. We discuss the choice before making it.
