Khon Kaen, Thailand
A careful hand
for every timepiece.
Chronvale is a small bench practice in Khon Kaen. We look at mechanical and quartz watches with patience, explain what we find in plain terms, and carry out only the work that is genuinely needed.
What We Offer
Three services, clearly defined.
Each service is described as it is — what is included, what it costs, and what you will receive back. No vague packages, no hidden add-ons.

- Written condition summary
- Handling and storage guidance
- No obligation to proceed further
Everyday Wear Service
A full service for daily-wear mechanical and quartz watches, covering cleaning, lubrication, regulation, and a gasket refresh. Includes timing observation and plain-language work record.

Why Chronvale
How we work, plainly stated.
Written records on every job
After each service you receive a plain-language record of the work done — what was cleaned, replaced, adjusted, and why. No jargon.
Agreed scope before we begin
For restoration work especially, nothing proceeds until you have reviewed and approved the plan. You stay in control of what happens to your watch.
Conservative parts approach
Original parts are preserved wherever reasonable. Replacements are discussed with you and noted in the job record, not decided quietly in the background.
Patient turnaround
We work carefully rather than quickly. Estimated timelines are shared upfront and kept, or you are contacted promptly if anything changes.
Condition photography
Collector and restoration pieces are photographed on arrival. A visual reference before and after gives you a clear picture of the work carried out.
Straightforward communication
If something unexpected comes up mid-service, we stop and talk to you first. You are kept informed throughout, not handed back a completed bill with surprises.
Have a watch that needs attention?
Bring it in for a bench look, or contact us first if you have questions. There is no pressure to commit until you understand what the work involves.
Common Questions
Plain-terms glossary & FAQ
Questions we hear often, answered without technical padding.
How often does a mechanical watch need servicing?
Most manufacturers suggest every three to five years for watches in regular use. The interval depends on how much the watch is worn, the conditions it is kept in, and its individual movement. At your first visit we can give you a realistic estimate based on the watch's current state rather than a blanket figure.
What is included in a "full service" for a mechanical watch?
A full service involves disassembly, ultrasonic or manual cleaning of all components, inspection of worn or damaged parts, lubrication with calibre-appropriate oils, reassembly, regulation, and a timing check. For our Everyday Wear Service, a gasket refresh for water resistance is also included. You receive a written summary of each step.
Will you replace parts without asking me first?
No. If a part requires replacement we will contact you, explain the reason, and give you the cost before anything is ordered. For restoration projects specifically, an agreed parts plan is signed off before work begins. We do not add parts and add the cost afterwards.
How long does a typical service take?
A First-Visit Assessment usually takes two to three working days. An Everyday Wear Service is typically two to three weeks. A Collector's Restoration Project depends on the condition and complexity of the piece — we discuss realistic timelines before accepting the work. Timelines are shared upfront and we keep you informed if anything changes.
Do I need to make an appointment to bring in a watch?
Walk-ins are welcome during working hours, though we recommend calling ahead or sending a message for restoration enquiries so we can give you our full attention. Contact details are at the bottom of the page.
What does "regulation" mean?
Regulation refers to adjusting the rate of a mechanical movement so that it gains or loses as little time as possible per day. Most movements can be regulated to within a few seconds daily under workshop conditions. We include a timing observation report so you can see the result of this adjustment.
Can you service a watch that has no documentation or box?
Yes. Original papers and packaging are useful for context but are not a requirement for any of our services. We work from the watch itself, starting with a thorough assessment of its current condition.
