Last Updated: 10 June 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Chronvale ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information provided by visitors to our website and customers using our watch repair and restoration services. Our practice is located at 19 Si Chan Road, Nai Mueang, Khon Kaen 40000, Thailand.
By using our website or submitting personal information through our contact form, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have questions, please contact us at [email protected].
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it. This includes:
- Name, email address, and phone number submitted via our contact form
- Information about your watch or service enquiry included in your message
- Intake records created when you bring a watch to our workshop (name, contact details, watch description)
- Technical data collected automatically when you visit our website (IP address, browser type, pages visited, via analytics cookies if consented)
We do not collect payment card details directly. Any payments are handled separately and are not stored by Chronvale.
2. How We Use Your Information
Personal information provided by customers is used for the following purposes:
- Responding to service enquiries submitted through the contact form
- Managing watch intake, service records, and correspondence during and after a service
- Retaining service history records for future reference (can be requested for deletion)
- Analysing website traffic in aggregate form to understand how our site is used (analytics cookies, where consented)
We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing, nor do we contact customers after service completion for promotional purposes.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases under Thai personal data law (PDPA, B.E. 2562) and applicable international standards:
- Contractual necessity: information required to carry out a service requested by the customer
- Consent: analytics and optional cookie data collected only with your agreement
- Legitimate interest: retaining service history for reference and quality assurance, where this does not override your rights
4. Data Retention
Contact form enquiries are retained for up to 12 months unless a service relationship follows, in which case service records are retained for up to 5 years. You may request deletion of your records at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
Anonymous website analytics data collected through cookies may be retained by third-party analytics providers in accordance with their own retention policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. Data may be shared in the following limited circumstances:
- With parts suppliers or third-party watchmaking specialists when required to complete a specific restoration, and only to the extent necessary
- With analytics service providers (where you have consented to analytics cookies) — data shared is aggregated and anonymous where possible
- If required by Thai law or court order
6. Data Security
We store digital customer records in password-protected systems with access limited to Chronvale staff. Physical service records are held in a locked workspace. We take reasonable steps to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security against all risks.
In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify affected individuals in a timely manner and take appropriate remedial steps.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies are required for the site to function correctly. Optional analytics and preference cookies are only placed with your consent, managed via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
8. Your Rights
Under the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and applicable standards, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time via the Cookie Policy page
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Lodge a complaint with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) if you believe your rights have not been respected
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Third-Party Links
Our website may include links to third-party sites (such as maps or reference content). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend reviewing their policies independently.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our website, please contact us so we can remove it.
